Privacy policy

Data processed

BaselineLab does not provide user accounts, registration forms, comments, or direct payments. This policy covers the BaselineLab website and plugin. They may process technical data related to service usage, such as visited URL, IP address, browser, operating system, approximate country, runtime errors, or performance metrics, depending on the provider and its filters. The plugin also processes settings and example text sent to generate a lab.

BaselineLab plugin

To generate an example, the host sends the language, lab settings and any example text to the BaselineLab server. The server validates these inputs and returns settings, code and a lab link. No BaselineLab account is required, and the product does not store these configurations in a database. The interface keeps settings in memory during the session.

Pressing “Share settings with ChatGPT” provides the current example state to the host for use in the conversation. Settings used by the model to open a lab are already part of its initial tool call. Conversations and data processed by OpenAI are subject to OpenAI’s terms and policies.

The link to continue on the website may include settings and example text in its URL. They can remain in browser history, be visible when sharing the link or appear in technical logs. Use sample data and avoid entering personal data, passwords or other secrets.

The server uses Vercel hosting and the Sentry error-diagnostics configuration described in this policy. The absence of accounts or a product database does not mean that technical logs do not exist. The Cookies policy describes theme and favorite preferences stored in browser localStorage. You can remove them in that browser. For questions about technical data, contact the operator; locating data depends on available logs and the provider. BaselineLab cannot itself delete conversations stored by OpenAI.

Services used

BaselineLab uses these providers to operate and improve the service:

  • Vercel, for hosting, aggregated web analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Sentry, to detect technical errors and improve application stability.
  • Google Search Console, to review indexing, search performance, and possible SEO issues. It does not add tracking scripts to the website.

Vercel

Vercel hosts the website and the plugin server. The website uses Web Analytics for aggregated visit statistics without tracking cookies, and Speed Insights for anonymous performance metrics. They may process technical information such as URL, referrer, browser, device and approximate location. These scripts are not included in the plugin interface; continuing on the website uses the website’s services.

Sentry

Sentry is used to diagnose errors and may receive technical data such as URLs, IP addresses, headers and request data, depending on the integration and applied filters. The project applies default sensitive-data filters, but these do not guarantee that all data is anonymous. The organization’s configured data storage region is the European Union.

Purpose

This data is used to generate requested examples, keep the website and plugin server operational, understand which pages work best, detect errors, improve performance, and review the site’s presence in search engines.

BaselineLab includes links to external websites such as LinkedIn, GitHub, email, and Buy Me a Coffee. When you open those links, the privacy and cookie policies of each external service apply.

Retention

Under the current Hobby plan, Vercel documents one-hour retention for runtime logs. Web Analytics provides one month of reports and Speed Insights seven days; these are reporting windows, not guarantees that all data is deleted when those periods end. The Analytics visitor session is discarded after 24 hours, which also does not mean all statistics are deleted.

For data Vercel processes under its own criteria, its privacy notice sets the minimum period needed to provide and improve services, meet legal or contractual obligations, and address security or disputes. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized, subject to the provider’s stated exceptions, such as backups. See its privacy notice and data processing agreement.

Under the current Developer plan, Sentry retains error events for 30 days. This period does not describe every telemetry category or the provider’s administrative records. Questions about technical data can be sent to the contact listed in this policy.

Widget settings are kept in memory during the session and are not stored in a product database. Local theme and favorite preferences remain in your browser until you remove them, as described in the Cookies policy. Retention of OpenAI conversations depends on its policies and your settings in that service.

Rights

You can request information, rectification, or deletion of data by writing to sergiojimenezrubio.dev@gmail.com. In some cases, aggregated or anonymized technical data cannot identify a specific person.
